The Strend Pro Garden SM21 splitting wedge is a plastic wedge designed for splitting wood. Thanks to its shape and overall length of 250 mm, it is suitable for wedging and splitting wooden logs when preparing firewood.
The wedge is driven into the wood and, with blows from a hammer or mallet, gradually opens the wood fibres along its natural structure. The plastic construction reduces the risk of flying metal fragments, which can occur when using metal wedges.
