The cotton wick is designed for use in kerosene lamps. Thanks to its flat design, it is easy to insert into the burner carrier, where it should protrude approximately 0.5 cm above its edge. A longer overhang is not recommended, as it leads to faster wear of the wick and higher consumption of lamp oil.

Before the first lighting, it is necessary to wait until the wick is fully saturated with oil, and then wait approximately 2 minutes. The wick can be shortened to the desired length. Each wick is 19 cm long and 2 cm wide, which corresponds to standard kerosene lamps designed for this type of wick.
