The starter charger is used for charging and starting lead-acid batteries with a voltage of 12 V / 24 V,
used, for example, in passenger cars, motorcycles, vans, tractors, trucks, etc. It is equipped with an 8-position function selector (OFF; 1.-3. slow charging;
4.-6. fast charging with timer (max. 60 min.), 7. start function), ammeter, thermal fuse, and
overload protection.
- The charging current supplied by the device decreases according to the W curve and in accordance with DIN 41774.
- It is always recommended that the nominal power of the battery charger corresponds to the capacity of the batteries being charged.
A charger with too low power may take too long to charge the battery, while
a charger with too high power may damage the battery.
- The recommended charging current is approximately one-tenth of the battery capacity in Ah (e.g., for a 40Ah
battery, the correct current is approximately 4A).
