A non-contact magnetic field tester is used to check electromagnetic switches and valves. The illumination of the tip signals the presence of the field of permanent magnets as well as fields generated by direct or alternating current. An integrated LED light helps illuminate the area being inspected; the device is powered by two AAA batteries with a voltage of 1.5 V.
